THE TEACHING APPRENTICESHIP
PROGRAM
Dance Experience Performing Arts Studio, LLC offers an Apprenticeship Program for novice dance instructors. They are new teachers & advance students in training who will assist, teach, and substitute for our classes alongside a professional faculty member as their mentor. They will also choreograph, participate in shows, and assist with the front desk. Their goal is to learn more about dance teaching methods and how to apply them with certain age groups, all while gaining the real hands-on experience in the classroom.

Miss Silvia began a passion for dance at the age of 7 in Rome, Italy where she was born and raised. She continued her dance training at Lindenwood University where she earned her B.A. degree in Theatre and Dance. During her college years she experimented with musicals, voice over, commercials, and accepted her first musical theatre job with the St.Charles Goldenrod Showboat and their production of “Anything Goes”. She nourished her love for the theatre by choreographing for local productions, directing or performing in various plays and musicals. In 2006 she continued her education through the University of Phoenix earning a M.A. degree in Education. She is currently a paraprofessional for the Fort Zumwalt School district and enjoys helping students with disabilities.

While at Lindewood University she was part of the Lion Line dance team. This experience paved the way to coaching the Fort Zumwalt North High School Varsity Dance team, which she has been working with for the past 4 years.

Silvia has been teaching dance for over 17 years in studios across the country to dancers of all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced. She has been teaching, ballet, tap, jazz, musical theatre, pointe, acting, and zumba fitness classes.
Silvia is a wife and mother of two, so on her spare time she enjoys being with her family, or savoring some quality time alone with a good book and a tasty cup of coffee.
