We invite you to take part in our studio's Summer Intensive Offering. In the 4- day intensive, your dancer will take part in a variety of classes (4 per day) that are designed to condition and advance your dancer's skills by learning and studying under other dance professionals and guest artists. Lindenwood Dance Department Chair

Janet Strzelec holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Dance from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and a Master of Fine Arts in Directing with a Musical Theatre emphasis from Lindenwood University. She has served as chair for the Lindenwood Dance program since June 2005.  Professor Strzelec has an extensive history of teaching, directing and choreographing in the greater St. Louis area including work with dance studios, high schools, universities, and professional dance and musical theatre companies.  As a teacher, Professor Strzelec has taught dance in a variety of settings with a student age range of 4 - 66 (years).  She has experience teaching ballet/pointe, jazz, tap, modern, musical theatre, dance appreciation, dance composition, dance pedagogy, and a variety of special topics that include a dance program study abroad trip to Paris. In addition to teaching dance, Professor Strzelec has enjoyed choreographing and/or directing a plethora of musicals, and has great memories of each one with a special fondness for the four shows she directed on the historic Goldenrod Showboat.  Professor Strzelec's performance credits include ballets, musicals, dinner theatre, television commercials, industrials, and Six Flags Show Productions. Some of her favorite roles are Adelaide (Guys and Dolls), Anna (The Kind and I), Roxie (Chicago), and dancing as a “Friend” and a “Wili” in her favorite ballet--Giselle. Janet Strzelec has a great love for all things dance, and a deep passion for sharing that love with others.
